After reading about the newest Chapter in the All stars Campaign for the JP server I've thought about a new rival after Lanzhu.
This rival would be a Korean or a Japanese that is a kpop trainee with a similar attitude to the likes of Chisato Shirasagi(Bang Dream)/ Iori Minase(Idolmaster) in which they'll have a stage persona and their real personality.
The rival interacts with the Nijigasaki cast in which she belittles them similar to how Eli was before she joined.
there will be a point where rival shows the skill gap between her and the idol club(this is to represent the difference between kpop and jpop idols). This would also make Lanzhu question on whether her previous ideas for the idol club be justified.
Later there would be a scene where they discover the harsh reality of being a trainee and learn about Rival's inner turmoil and her beliefs as an idol under the idol industry.
Rival's redemption could go either by slowly getting invested and enjoying the freedom and the relaxed environment that the Nijigasaki idols have or possibly by understanding and appreciating the differences between the two different types of idol. Another possibility is that they could influence her to realize what an idol really is outside of what she would of believe when she was under the influence of the pressures of the idol industry.
Lanzhu could also learn from how miserable Rival felt during her time as a trainee and compare rivals suffering to what she wanted to do with her idol group before Lanzhu's redemption.
The main themes that are addressed in the rival is understanding the differences between the school(jpop) idols and Kpop idols and kpop trainees alike and appreciating their qualities. It is also a reminder on the mistreatment of idols in the idol industry.
The concept could also work if the rival is a western idol but i personally believe that kpop idols are more interesting and relevant to make the comparison; it's also an excuse to have an idol that can produce songs similar to the likes of Aqours Pirate Adventure and Dazzling White Town.
TLDR :Kpop Trainee that think's school idols are beneath her, eventually beings to like the idol club and joins Yuu's Harem like everyone else
