​Hey all, the one who brought you the Octavo spoilers is back for some spicy new leaks. All info is from the game files as usual. We'll start off with some minor spoilers and then work our way up to the new characters. Expect spoilers throughout the replies. None of this text has been localized into other languages yet, so it's definitely not in the Octavo's Ode patch.

At the bottom is a link to a pastebin with this entire post in it, if you don't want to click all the spoiler tags.

Character Spoilers

You can now play as Shadow Link, Shadow Zelda, Aria, Impa, or Frederick! / Choose Single Character Mode, Dungeon Mode, or All Characters Mode from the Mode Select screen.

New achievements (spoils characters):

Spearmaster: As Impa, complete the game without performing any regular weapon attacks.

Capital Gains: As Frederick, collect 500 rupees.

The Lowest of the Low%: As Aria, complete the game in Permadeath Dungeon Mode without using any A/B/X/Y items.

Polyamorous: Complete All Characters Mode

Aria text:

[Deion] Aria cannot use weapons other than the dagger, but can use action items. She has only 1/2 heart and takes damage whenever she misses a beat. Good luck, you'll need it!

[Cadence Tutorial] Hello... Aria!? What are you doing here? / I see. Here, take this shovel! / Maybe you can help me figure out how we ended up in this strange world... / Be careful out there, grandma!

[Intro Text] Hmph, what kind of trouble has Cadence gotten me into this time? / I'm getting too old for this...

Frederick text:

[Deion] Frederick loses rupees as time passes, and perishes if his rupee count reaches 0. He can emit a vocal blast, confusing nearby enemies, and can use rupees as projectile weapons.

[Intro Text] Huh? Where am I? / Well, whatever this place is, I'd better get moving if I want to turn a profit. / Time is money, after all!

[Ability 1] Rupee Tos1s / You got the rupee tos1s ability!. It's automatically assigned to L, and only Frederick can use it. / Frederick can tos1s a blue rupee in a straight line ahead of him, dealing damage and piercing through enemies. Costs 5 rupees to use.

[Ability 1 - Inventory] Press L to tos1s a blue rupee in a straight line, dealing damage and piercing through enemies. Costs 5 rupees to use.

[Ability 2] Vocal Blast / You got the vocal blast ability!. It's automatically assigned to R, and only Frederick can use it. / Frederick emits a quick burst of sound, knocking back and confusing all adjacent enemies.

[Ability 2 - Inventory] Press R to emit a burst of song, knocking back and confusing all adjacent enemies.

[New Mechanic] Sell Items / - SOLD for <#> / CAN'T SELL

[Misc. Note] There's sound effects for Mechafreddy in the game files, suggesting that the shopkeeper will be replaced when playing as Frederick.

Impa text:

[Deion] Impa's only weapon class is the spear. She can hold her spear out in front of her and use it to damage enemies. She can also perform a naginata charge attack, hitting enemies in a line.

[Intro Text] I need to figure out what's causing all this trouble in Hyrule. / Princess Zelda is counting on me!

[Ability 1] Naginata Charge / You got the naginata charge ability!. It's automatically assigned to L, and only Impa can use it. / Impa lunges forward one space, hitting enemies in a straight line up to 3 spaces ahead of her.

[Ability 1 - Inventory] Press L to lunge forward one space, hitting enemies in a straight line up to 3 spaces ahead.

Shadow Link/Zelda text:

[Intro Text (Fairy?)] Eeek! A monster! / What's that? You aren't going to eat me? And you want to help? / Well... OK, but I'll be keeping an eye on you!

[(1) Deion] Shadow Link can use most weapons and items. He is similar to Link, but his spin attack can draw enemies towards him while it is charging.

[(1): Ability 1] You got the Shadow Spin Attack ability! It's automatically assigned to L, and only Shadow Link can use it. / Shadow Link can now use stamina to charge a spin attack and unleash it to hit all surrounding enemies! / While you are holding L to charge a spin attack, some enemies will be drawn towards you on each beat!

[(2) Deion] Shadow Zelda can use most weapons and items. She is similar to Zelda, but her Nayru's Love spell can reflect for both of its active beats.

[(2): Ability 1] You got Shadow Din's Fire! It's automatically assigned to L, and only Shadow Zelda can use this. / Press L to create an explosive ball of fire. It will explode if it collides with anything. You can also detonate it by pressing L.

[(2): Ability 2] You got Shadow Nayru's Love! It's automatically assigned to R, and only Shadow Zelda can use this. / Use it at the right time to reflect projectiles or melee damage from all directions. It will reflect damage for two beats!
